Review of Intervention

I just finished reading the book Intervention by Terri Blackstock. I have to say, this book was amazing. A mother who lost her husband to cancer, and her daughter to drugs, sends her eighteen year old daughter to rehab. But on the way, something terrible happens - her rehab counselor is murdered. The girl disappears and is suspected of murder. Barbara, believing her daughter is innocent flies to Atlanta, Georgia to find her daughter and prove that she is innocent. Along the way, she encounters some dark places, and dark people - but she finds light in one man, a man who doesn't even believe in God. Barbara's life changes, as does the life of Detective Kent Harlan, as they go on this terrifying journey together. It's intense, heart breaking, terrifying, and joyful, all at once. I recommend this book 100%!
